Frontline Vertical Taito Multigame Free Play and High Score Save Kit

Upgrade a documented compatible original Frontline or vertical Taito arcade PCB with 7-game multigame support, Free Play, Top 10 score saving with initials, serial EEPROM storage, menu-driven settings, ROM Saver support, and optional Wi-Fi leaderboard support.

This plug-in daughterboard continues to use original Taito arcade hardware rather than replacing the game board with an emulation platform, reproduction PCB, or multicade system.

Hardware Compatibility

• Battery-free storage: Uses reliable serial EEPROM storage with no batteries or NVRAM required.
• Free Play: Start supported games without inserting coins.
• Traditional Coin-Up operation: Continue accepting quarters or tokens when Free Play is disabled.
• Attract sounds: Adjustable at 25%, 50%, or 100% rotation intervals.
• Attract mode protection: Helps reduce monitor burn-in during idle periods.
• Menu-driven DIP settings: Configure supported options directly from the on-screen menu.
• ROM Saver: Original program ROMs may be removed when using supported ROM Saver features.
• High Scores button: Quickly access saved score tables for the selected game.
• All Global High Scores button: View global score tables when using Wi-Fi leaderboard support.
• Backup and restore: Save and restore supported high scores when needed.
• Separate score tables: Individual supported score tables for 2, 3, or 4 lives settings.
• Reset button: Restart gameplay without powering off the cabinet when enabled.

Access the Game Menu and Settings Menu

To access the game-selection menu, hold Player 1 Start during attract mode until the menu appears.

To access the settings menu, hold Player 1 Start while turning the cabinet on. Release the button when the on-screen prompt tells you to continue.

• ROM Saver: Remove only the original program ROMs identified in the Frontline Multigame installation guide when using ROM Saver features.
