Free Play, Coin-Up, and Top 5 Score Saving
Free Play allows Super Pac-Man to start without inserting coins. Traditional Coin-Up operation can still be used when Free Play is disabled, making the kit useful for home arcades, routed games, and collector cabinets.
The kit saves the Top 5 supported scores and maintains separate score tables for two-, three-, four-, and five-life settings. This lets the cabinet owner preserve score data while changing supported lives settings.
Score and settings data is saved through serial EEPROM storage instead of batteries or NVRAM. Backup and restore support is included for managing saved score data.
Attract Sounds, ROM Saver, and Cabinet Setup
Attract-sound options allow the cabinet owner to enable standard attract sounds or full attract sounds. The full attract-sound option includes the dot-munching sound during the gameplay attract screen.
ROM Saver support allows optional removal of original program ROMs. If the ROMs are not removed, a riser socket may be needed because of daughterboard clearance.
The kit supports documented upright and cocktail cabinet configurations and keeps the original Super Pac-Man gameplay experience centered on the original arcade PCB.
Installation and PCB Requirements
- Designed only for documented compatible original Super Pac-Man arcade PCBs.
- A 6809E processor is required for installation.

Standard and Optional Wi-Fi Versions
Standard kits save supported scores and settings locally. An internet connection is not required for gameplay, Free Play, Coin-Up operation, menu access, or local score saving.
Optional 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi kits include the same local features and add supported online score submission through the HighScoreSaves leaderboard platform.
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local gameplay, Free Play, Coin-Up operation, score saving, or settings-menu operation.
