How do I place an order?

All orders must be placed through the secure HighScoreSaves.com checkout system. Orders cannot be accepted by phone, email, text message or social media. This helps ensure accurate order processing, shipment tracking, tax calculation, payment security and customer support.

What payment methods do you accept?

HighScoreSaves accepts PayPal, credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, along with Apple Pay, Google Pay and Venmo when available at checkout.

Can I order by email or phone?

Why was my order cancelled or delayed?

Orders may be delayed, cancelled or refused if payment is declined, reversed, disputed, flagged, incomplete or appears fraudulent. Orders may also be cancelled if there is a pricing error, availability issue, restricted destination, incorrect customer information or another fulfillment problem.

Do I need an order number for support?

Yes. A valid HighScoreSaves order number or proof of purchase is required for returns, refunds, replacement requests, warranty questions, payment questions and shipping investigations.

Shipping and Delivery

How long does order processing take?

Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days, depending on current order volume and product availability.

What carriers do you use?

HighScoreSaves ships using USPS or UPS. The carrier may be selected by HighScoreSaves based on package size, weight, value, destination, shipping method and reliability.

How much is shipping?

Shipping costs depend on product type, destination and service selected at checkout.

  • USA standard save kits: $8.15
  • USA Darksoft kits: $35.99 flat rate, insurance included, signature required
  • USA expedited and other items: starting at $15.25
  • USA overnight: starting at $300, based on UPS quoting and availability
  • International shipping: varies by country

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, HighScoreSaves ships to many international destinations. International customers are responsible for duties, taxes, VAT, GST, customs fees, brokerage fees and import requirements in their country.

Are there countries you do not ship to?

HighScoreSaves does not currently ship directly to Brazil, Mexico or certain high-risk regions due to past shipping challenges, unreliable tracking, customs delays, lost packages and delivery complications. Orders shipping to France must use UPS Expedited due to shipping reliability and delivery requirements.

What happens if my package says delivered but I cannot find it?

First check porches, side doors, garages, mailboxes, parcel lockers, building offices and other secure locations where the carrier may have left the package. Once a package is marked as delivered by the carrier, HighScoreSaves considers the shipment delivered to the address provided during checkout.

What should I do if my package arrives damaged?

Retain all packaging materials and contact HighScoreSaves within 5 business days of delivery. Photos of the outer packaging, inner packaging, shipping label and damaged item may be requested for the carrier claim process.

Returns and Refunds

What is your return period?

HighScoreSaves offers a 30-day return period from the date of purchase on most eligible items. To qualify, the item must be in like-new condition and free from damage, excessive wear, misuse, missing parts or modification.

Do I need authorization before returning an item?

Yes. A Return Merchandise Authorization is required before returning any product. Your original order number will be used as the return reference. Items returned without authorization, without a valid order number or without proof of purchase may be refused or delayed.

Who pays return shipping?

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless HighScoreSaves provides different instructions for a specific approved issue.

Are original shipping charges refundable?

Original shipping charges are non-refundable once an order has shipped. A restocking fee may apply to returned items that require testing, inspection, repackaging or are returned incomplete.

What items are not eligible for return?

Compatibility

Are HighScoreSaves kits compatible with every arcade PCB?

No. Many HighScoreSaves products are designed for specific original arcade PCB hardware. Arcade boards can vary by manufacturer, production revision, prior repair history, socket condition, modifications, regional version, bootleg status and overall board condition.

Who is responsible for confirming compatibility?

Customers are responsible for confirming that a product is compatible with their specific arcade PCB, cabinet, wiring, hardware revision and intended use before purchase and installation.

Can I install a kit on a bootleg, modified or repaired PCB?

Compatibility cannot be guaranteed for every bootleg, modified, damaged or previously repaired PCB. If your board is not original, has repairs, has socket damage, has corrosion, has prior modifications or is unstable, contact HighScoreSaves before ordering or installing.

What should I send if I am unsure about compatibility?

Send your game title, board photos, PCB revision details, cabinet information and any relevant repair or modification history. Clear photos of the CPU, ROM area, sockets and board markings are often helpful.

Installation

Do I need technical experience to install arcade kits?

Installation of arcade kits, chips, daughter cards, adapters, sockets, wiring and related hardware should be performed only by individuals who are comfortable working with arcade electronics and original PCB hardware.

What should I check before installing a kit?

  • Confirm the correct product and board compatibility.
  • Read the installation guide for your specific kit.
  • Verify chip orientation and Pin 1 location.
  • Confirm the correct socket or CPU location.
  • Power off the arcade machine before installation.
  • Handle the PCB and chips carefully to avoid bent pins or static damage.

Is installation damage covered?

Damage caused by incorrect installation, reversed chips, improper orientation, bent pins, electrical shorts, damaged sockets, power supply issues, soldering mistakes, static discharge, prior board repairs or customer handling may not qualify for replacement, refund or warranty coverage.

What should I do if I am unsure during installation?

Stop before installing or powering on the board. Contact HighScoreSaves with your order number, product name, PCB photos and your question. Do not force chips, bend pins, guess chip orientation or power on a questionable installation.

Free Play and High Score Save Kits

What is a Free Play and High Score Save Kit?

A Free Play and High Score Save Kit is an arcade PCB upgrade designed for supported original arcade hardware. Depending on the kit, it may add free play, permanent high score saving, menu settings, attract options, reset functions, score backup features and other game-specific features.

Do all kits have the same features?

No. Features vary by game, hardware platform and kit version. Always review the product page and installation guide for the specific kit you are purchasing.

What is the difference between a Standard Kit and a Wi-Fi Enabled Kit?

A Standard Kit includes the supported kit features for that game without online score uploading. A Wi-Fi Enabled Kit includes optional Wi-Fi support for compatible online leaderboard or personal high score page features.

Can I upgrade from a Standard Kit to a Wi-Fi Enabled Kit later?

Some products may offer Wi-Fi options or separate Wi-Fi versions, but availability depends on the specific game and kit. Review the product page or contact HighScoreSaves before ordering.

Wi-Fi Kits and Online Leaderboards

What do Wi-Fi Enabled Kits do?

Some HighScoreSaves products include optional Wi-Fi features, online high score uploading, online leaderboards, personal high score pages or related online services.

What Wi-Fi network do I need?

Wi-Fi features require compatible hardware, correct kit configuration, a supported wireless network, accurate setup information and a reliable internet connection. Many arcade Wi-Fi setups require a 2.4 GHz network.

What are PK and SK keys?

PK and SK keys are setup keys used with compatible Wi-Fi enabled kits and online leaderboard services. Customers must enter the keys exactly as provided during setup. These keys may be reused for future compatible Wi-Fi kits connected to the same leaderboard account.

Why are my scores not uploading?

Score upload issues can be caused by incorrect Wi-Fi information, incorrect PK or SK keys, local network problems, weak signal, router settings, firewall settings, internet service issues or incorrect kit configuration.

Check the Wi-Fi setup information, confirm the network is supported and verify all keys and settings are entered exactly as provided.

Are online leaderboard services guaranteed forever?

Online score features and leaderboard services are provided as a convenience and may be updated, changed, interrupted, limited or discontinued when necessary for maintenance, security, technical improvements, abuse prevention or service changes.

Are digital downloads refundable?

No. Digital downloads, ARpiCADE software images and electronically delivered products are non-refundable because they become available immediately after checkout and cannot be returned.
