The Arkanoid Multigame Free Play and High Score Save Kit adds Arkanoid and Arkanoid Tournament, permanent battery-free score storage, Free Play, selectable attract sounds, menu-driven settings, and optional Wi-Fi leaderboard support.

The kit continues to use the original Taito arcade PCB, Z80 processor, paddle controls, video hardware, and sound hardware. Installation is plug and play when the original Z80 CPU is already socketed. If the processor is soldered directly to the PCB, a qualified technician must install a 40-pin socket before the kit can be used.

Before Ordering: Confirm that your machine contains a compatible original Taito Arkanoid arcade PCB and original paddle controls. Access to the PCB is required during installation. This kit is not designed for emulation systems, bootleg boards, JAMMA replacement boards, or generic multicade hardware.

Choose the Right Arkanoid Multigame PCB Upgrade

The Arkanoid Multigame Free Play and High Score Save Kit is available in Standard and optional Wi-Fi-enabled configurations. Both versions add Arkanoid and Arkanoid Tournament to a compatible original Taito PCB while preserving the original Z80 processor, paddle controls, video hardware, sound hardware, and arcade gameplay.

Standard Kit

  • Two included games — Play Arkanoid and Arkanoid Tournament on compatible original Taito hardware
  • Permanent local score saving — Stores the Top 5 scores for each game and supported lives setting after power is turned off
  • No internet connection required — Game selection, settings, and score-saving functions operate directly on the arcade PCB
  • Free Play and coin operation — Use coin-free play while retaining traditional coin operation when desired

Wi-Fi Enabled Kit

  • Includes all Standard Kit features — Scores continue to be stored locally on the installed arcade PCB
  • Online score submission — Qualifying scores can be submitted to the HighScoreSaves global leaderboard after initials are entered
  • 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi support — Connects through a compatible 2.4 GHz wireless network
  • Optional connection — Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local score saving, game selection, or normal gameplay

Arkanoid Multigame Kit Features

  • Arkanoid and Arkanoid Tournament — Select either game from the kit menu
  • Separate high score tables — Saves the Top 5 scores for each game and supported two-, three-, and four-life setting
  • Selectable attract sounds — Enable supported music and sound effects during attract mode
  • Menu-driven settings — Adjust supported game options through the arcade controls after installation
  • Continue Mode — Continue gameplay while using Coin Mode; Continue Mode is unavailable during Free Play

Installation Requirements

The original Z80 processor must be installed in a 40-pin socket. Installation is plug and play when the CPU is already socketed.

If the Z80 is soldered directly to the arcade PCB, a qualified technician must remove the processor and install a 40-pin socket before the kit can be used.

The kit requires a compatible original Taito Arkanoid arcade PCB and original paddle-control hardware. Access to the PCB is required during installation.
