Both upgrades install through the documented original 6502 CPU location on compatible original Atari Battlezone hardware and require a compatible 40-pin CPU socket.
The compatible original 6502 is removed from the Atari PCB and transferred to the selected daughterboard. If the processor is soldered directly to the game board, a qualified arcade technician must install a compatible 40-pin socket before either upgrade can be fitted.
