The HighScoreSaves Battlezone Free Play and High Score Save Kit upgrades a compatible original Atari Battlezone arcade PCB with Free Play, permanent Top 10 score and initials saving, adjustable attract sounds, configurable settings, separate score tables, and optional Wi-Fi leaderboard support while retaining the original Atari vector hardware and gameplay.
Battlezone Compatibility & Requirements
Installation: Plug-in installation when the original 6502 is already socketed. If the 6502 is soldered directly to the PCB, a qualified arcade technician must install a compatible 40-pin socket before the kit can be used.

Standard vs. Wi-Fi Kit
Standard Kit
Saves supported scores, initials, settings, and configuration data locally on the installed Battlezone PCB. No internet connection is required.
Wi-Fi Enabled Kit
Includes the same local features and can also submit qualifying completed scores to the HighScoreSaves online leaderboard.
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local score saving, Free Play, settings, or normal gameplay. Wi-Fi-enabled kits use compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

How do I enter the Battlezone kit settings menu?
Hold Player 1 Start for approximately 4 seconds while turning on the cabinet.
What is the difference between the HighScoreSaves and Braze Battlezone kits?
The HighScoreSaves Battlezone kit adds both Free Play and permanent Top 10 high score saving. The separate Braze Battlezone kit saves high scores but does not add Free Play. Both kits include ROM Saver functionality.
How are Battlezone high scores organized?
The kit permanently stores the Top 10 supported scores and qualifying player initials, with separate score tables for supported two-, three-, four-, and five-life configurations.
Will the Wi-Fi kit still save scores if Wi-Fi is disabled?
Yes. Local score saving, initials, settings, Free Play, and normal gameplay continue to work when Wi-Fi is disabled or unavailable.
