How the Bump 'n Jump Encrypted 6502 Installation Works
Installation requires the original encrypted Data East 6502 C10707-1 processor and a compatible 40-pin CPU socket on documented compatible Bump 'n Jump hardware.
When the encrypted processor is already properly socketed, normal kit installation does not require CPU socket soldering. If the processor is soldered directly to the PCB, a qualified arcade technician must remove it and install a compatible 40-pin socket before installing the kit.
Before restoring cabinet power, verify Pin 1 orientation, CPU alignment, processor pins, socket condition, board seating, and any designated program-ROM locations identified in the Bump 'n Jump installation guide.
