Choosing the Correct Taito Multigame Kit

Choose the Jungle Hunt | Elevator Action | Taito Multigame Kit when the goal is the seven-game SJ Taito set built around Elevator Action, Jungle King, Jungle Hunt, Pirate Pete, Time Tunnel, Space Seeker, and Seafighter Poseidon.

Choose the Frontline Vertical Taito Multigame Kit when the cabinet and controls match the Frontline-style vertical Taito game set, including Frontline, Wild Western, Alpine Ski, Bio Attack, Water Ski, Highway Race, and Space Cruiser.

Free Play, Coin-Up, and Score Saving

Free Play allows supported Taito games to start without inserting coins. Traditional Coin-Up operation can still be used when desired, depending on the selected kit settings and cabinet configuration.

The Jungle Hunt | Elevator Action kit stores the Top 5 scores with initials for each supported game. The Frontline Vertical Taito kit stores the Top 10 scores with initials. Supported score and setting data is saved locally on the PCB using serial EEPROM storage rather than batteries or NVRAM.

Backup and Restore support makes it easier to preserve saved scores before service work, testing, events, or tournament use. Separate score tables are supported where documented by the selected kit.

Attract Sounds, ROM Saver, and Menu Settings

Attract sounds can be configured at 25%, 50%, or 100% intervals. Menu-driven DIP settings allow supported cabinet and gameplay options to be changed through the on-screen interface instead of pulling the board for ordinary setting changes.

ROM Saver support allows documented original program and sound ROM removal so the game program can run from the upgrade kit. This can reduce heat and power use on aging original hardware when installed according to the proper guide.

Supported advanced features may include Reset Button, self-test access, Continue mode, God Mode with score saving disabled, Stealth Mode, and Flip Screen depending on the selected Taito multigame kit.

Settings Menu Access

To access supported HighScoreSaves settings, hold Player 1 Start while turning the cabinet on. Release the button when the on-screen prompt tells you to continue.
