The Galaga 3 / Gaplus kit requires a compatible 6809E processor. The original CPU can be transferred from the Namco PCB to the HighScoreSaves daughterboard.

How the 6809E Daughterboard Installation Works

ROM Saver support allows the designated original program ROMs to be removed when following the current installation guide.
The program ROMs do not need to be removed simply to purchase the kit. If you choose to use ROM Saver, remove only the documented ROMs and follow the current installation procedure. Do not remove unrelated chips or components.
