Choosing the Correct Chiller Arcade PCB Upgrade
A Chiller cabinet, marquee, gun assembly, or control hardware does not by itself confirm compatibility. Original light-gun cabinets may have been converted, repaired, or fitted with replacement boards, so the actual arcade hardware should be identified before ordering.
Chiller is supported through the HighScoreSaves Exidy 440 Multigame Free Play and High Score Save Kit. There is no separate Chiller-only HighScoreSaves kit. The upgrade requires documented compatible original Exidy 440 arcade hardware and keeps that original platform in service.

How the Chiller Exidy 440 Installation Works
The Exidy 440 installation works with both the original CPU PCB and sound PCB. The board stack is separated during installation so the required processors, daughter cards, and designated original components can be handled in their documented locations.
On the CPU board, designated EPROMs are removed and the 6809E processor is transferred to the kit. The main daughter card is then installed into the documented sockets. On the sound board, the 6809 processor and designated EPROMs are removed before the sound daughter-card assemblies are installed.
Before restoring cabinet power, verify processor orientation, Pin 1 alignment, daughter-card seating, socket condition, ribbon-cable connections, DIP-switch positions, and all other steps shown in the current Exidy 440 installation guide.
