Free Play and Permanent High Scores

Free Play allows Discs of Tron to start without inserting coins while retaining traditional Coin-Up operation as an available setting. The kit stores the Top 10 supported high scores locally.

Supported score data is stored using serial EEPROM, so batteries and NVRAM are not required for saved scores. Backup and restore functions are included for supported score data.

Discs of Tron also supports separate score tables for 2, 3, 4, and 5 lives. This keeps supported score results organized across different gameplay configurations.

Attract Sounds, Bonus Lives, and Operator Settings

Supported attract sounds can be adjusted for 25%, 50%, or 100% attract cycle rotation. Attract mode protection also helps reduce screen burn during idle operation.

Bonus-life settings include 10k, 20k, 40k, or 80k. Initial entry can also be configured for either 2 or 3 initials, depending on the preferred operator setup.

On-screen DIP settings allow supported options to be adjusted through the settings menu instead of relying only on physical switch changes.

Installation and PCB Requirements

The optional Wi-Fi Enabled Kit includes the same local features and adds online score syncing through the HighScoreSaves global leaderboard platform.
