The Darksoft Namco System 2 kit uses two multigame PCBs: a larger board installed on the original System 2 main PCB and a smaller board installed on the compatible Video PCB. Programmed memory modules store the supported game data, and the desired configuration is selected with the included rotary selector.

Confirm Namco System 2 Compatibility

• Requires a working original Namco System 2 main PCB.
• Requires the compatible System 2 Video PCB revision shown in the installation guide. Not every Namco System 2 board stack is supported.
• Requires a working arcade cabinet or compatible supergun setup.
• The donor main and Video PCBs must be separated and prepared before installing the two multigame boards.
• Specified Mask ROMs and EPROMs must be removed from both donor boards. SRAM, MCU, protection, and other chips identified in the guide must remain installed.
• Jumpers on both the main PCB and Video PCB must be configured exactly as documented.
• Metal ground plates that could contact the multigame PCBs must be carefully removed or repositioned before installation.
• All main-board DIP switches should initially be placed in the OFF position.
• Ten removable memory modules must be programmed individually before use.
• A ProMan, also known as a TL86_Plus, programmer is required when programming the memory modules yourself. The programming adapter is included; the programmer is not included.

The memory modules use several capacities and must be programmed with the correct files and returned to their designated positions. Installation also requires careful pin alignment, cable orientation, and correct placement of the main and Video PCB multigame boards.
