The Darksoft Taito F3 kit installs on a compatible original Taito F3 motherboard through its four cartridge connectors. Supported games are selected from a microSD card with the included LCD display and written to flash memory. The selected game remains stored after power is removed until a different title is loaded.

Confirm Taito F3 Compatibility and Requirements

• Requires a working original Taito F3 arcade motherboard.
• Requires a working arcade cabinet or compatible supergun setup.
• The plastic region-locking tabs on the motherboard’s four cartridge connectors must be carefully removed before installing the multigame board.
• All four multigame-board connectors must be correctly aligned before pressure is applied.
• A compatible, good-quality microSD card is required and is not included.
• Game files must use the folder and NAME file structure described in the installation guide.
• Game software is not supplied with the multigame kit.

Installation and Game Selection

Align the multigame board with all four motherboard connectors and press it into place gently and evenly. Because the board is large, handle it only by its edges and avoid flexing or pressing against the center of the PCB.

• Use the left, right, and OK controls on the included LCD selector to choose a game stored on the microSD card.
• The LCD displays loading progress and shows NOW PLAYING after programming is complete.
• The selected game remains in flash memory after the system is powered off.
• The LCD contrast can be adjusted using the trim control located near the microSD-card slot.

Optional Auto-Reset Connection

An optional auto-reset wire can be installed between the SWD7 connection on the multigame PCB and IC35 on the Taito F3 motherboard. This allows the system to reset automatically after a new game is written and helps avoid display flicker during the change.

The reset-wire connection requires soldering and should be completed only by someone experienced with arcade-PCB work. Review the complete installation guide before removing the region locks, fitting the multigame board, preparing the microSD card, or installing the reset wire.
