The Darksoft system replaces the original CPS1 B-board function with the multigame hardware while retaining compatible original A-board and C-board hardware. Before ordering, verify the board models, sound section, C-board condition, wiring needs, and microSD requirements against the current installation documentation.

CPS1 C-Board Compatibility
A compatible original CPS1 C-board is required. The current Darksoft installation documentation identifies the following supported original C-board models:

These supported C-boards use the B-21 hardware required by the multigame system. If a compatible C-board still has its original battery, the installation documentation specifies that the battery must be removed so the multigame hardware can manage keys.
