The HighScoreSaves Super Pac-Man Free Play and High Score Save Kit upgrades documented compatible original Namco Super Pac-Man arcade hardware with permanent Top 5 high score saving with initials, Free Play, enhanced attract sounds, menu-driven settings, ROM Saver, Backup and Restore, separate lives-based score tables, and optional Wi-Fi leaderboard support while preserving the original arcade PCB, controls, gameplay timing, and sound.
Super Pac-Man Compatibility & Requirements
Installation: Plug-in installation when the original 6809E processor is already socketed. If the processor is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible 40-pin socket must be installed before the kit can be used.
Super Pac-Man Settings Menu Access
Hold Player 1 Start while turning the cabinet on. Release the button when the on-screen prompt tells you to continue. Supported DIP and difficulty settings can then be adjusted through the on-screen menu.

What's Included
ROM Saver & Daughterboard Clearance
Designated original program ROMs may be removed as part of the ROM Saver setup.
If the original program ROMs remain installed, a riser socket may be required to provide sufficient clearance for the daughterboard.
Verify the 6809E notch and Pin 1 orientation, processor-pin alignment, daughterboard seating, socket condition, ROM configuration, and all documented installation steps. If the game does not start after installation, turn power off immediately and recheck the installation.
Standard vs. Wi-Fi Kit
Standard Kit
Stores supported Super Pac-Man scores and settings locally. No internet connection is required for gameplay, Free Play, Coin-Up operation, local score saving, or menu access.
Wi-Fi Enabled Kit
Includes the same local functionality and adds supported online score submission to the HighScoreSaves leaderboard platform.
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local score saving or normal gameplay. Wi-Fi-enabled kits use compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

Which arcade PCB is required?
The kit is designed for documented compatible original Namco Super Pac-Man arcade hardware.
Which processor is required?
A compatible 6809E processor is required and installs on the HighScoreSaves daughter card.
Does installation require soldering?
No soldering is required when the 6809E processor is already socketed. If it is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible 40-pin socket must be installed first.
How many high scores are saved?
The kit stores the Top 5 supported Super Pac-Man scores with player initials.
Are there separate score tables for different lives settings?
Yes. Separate supported high-score tables are available for 2, 3, 4, and 5 lives.
Does the kit support attract sounds?
Yes. Standard and full attract sounds are supported, including dot-munching audio during gameplay attract screens.
Does the kit support ROM Saver?
Yes. Designated original program ROMs may be removed according to the installation guide. A riser socket may be needed if the ROMs remain installed.
