HighScoreSaves.com stands behind the products we sell and provides support for eligible products purchased directly from HighScoreSaves. This Warranty and Support Policy explains how warranty questions, defective items, incorrect items, missing parts, compatibility concerns, installation issues, and product support requests are reviewed.

Because many HighScoreSaves products are installed on original arcade PCB hardware, warranty coverage depends on the product, order history, installation condition, compatibility, board condition, and whether the issue is related to a product defect, shipping damage, incorrect installation, modified hardware, customer handling, or another outside factor.

Warranty Coverage

HighScoreSaves will review warranty and support requests for eligible products purchased directly from HighScoreSaves.com. Warranty review is intended to help resolve product defects, incorrect items, missing parts, shipping-related issues, and reasonable product support concerns.

Warranty support is handled case by case. Depending on the issue, the product, the order, and the condition of the item, HighScoreSaves may provide technical assistance, replacement parts, product exchange, repair guidance, return instructions, or a refund when applicable.

A valid HighScoreSaves order number or proof of purchase is required for warranty questions, replacement requests, return requests, refund questions, product support, and shipping investigations.

Important: Warranty coverage does not guarantee replacement or refund for every issue. Product condition, installation details, compatibility, order history, customer handling, and board condition may affect the final resolution.

  • Other eligible physical products purchased directly from HighScoreSaves

Products purchased from another seller, marketplace, reseller, previous owner, private sale, auction, or third party are not covered by HighScoreSaves warranty or return support unless specifically approved in writing.

What Is Not Covered

Warranty coverage does not apply to damage, failure, or support issues caused by customer handling, incorrect installation, incompatible hardware, modified hardware, electrical problems, or conditions outside the control of HighScoreSaves.

Not Covered Under Warranty

  • Incorrect installation
  • Reversed chips or incorrect chip orientation
  • Bent pins, broken pins, damaged legs, or socket damage
  • Electrical shorts, power supply issues, overvoltage, or incorrect voltage
  • Soldering mistakes, lifted pads, damaged traces, or repair damage
  • Static discharge or improper handling
  • Damage caused by modified, repaired, bootleg, damaged, or unstable arcade PCB hardware
  • Damage caused by prior board repairs, corrosion, battery leakage, bad sockets, bad connectors, or poor board condition
  • Damage caused by cabinet wiring issues, adapter issues, monitor issues, power problems, or third-party hardware
  • Customer modifications, alterations, attempted repairs, or unauthorized changes
  • Normal wear, cosmetic wear, misuse, neglect, abuse, or improper storage
  • Items returned incomplete, missing parts, or missing required accessories
  • Products not purchased directly from HighScoreSaves
  • Digital downloads, ARpiCADE software images, and electronically delivered products
Installation damage is not a product defect. If a product is damaged during installation or installed into incompatible, modified, damaged, or unstable hardware, it may not qualify for replacement or refund.

Compatibility

Many HighScoreSaves products are designed for original arcade PCB hardware. Arcade boards can vary by manufacturer, production revision, repair history, socket condition, prior modifications, regional version, bootleg status, and overall board condition.

Customers are responsible for confirming that a product is compatible with their specific arcade PCB, cabinet, wiring, hardware revision, and intended use before purchase and installation.

Compatibility information is provided in good faith based on available documentation, known hardware revisions, testing, and customer support history. However, compatibility cannot be guaranteed for every board variation, modified board, damaged board, bootleg board, or previously repaired PCB.

Before ordering: If you are unsure whether a product is compatible with your arcade PCB, contact HighScoreSaves before purchasing or installing the product.

Installation Responsibility

Installation of arcade kits, chips, daughter cards, adapters, sockets, wiring, and related hardware should be performed only by individuals who are comfortable working with arcade electronics and original PCB hardware.

Customers are responsible for following all installation instructions, verifying chip orientation, confirming Pin 1 location, ensuring power is off before installation, and handling arcade boards with proper care.

Installation guides, videos, diagrams, photos, written instructions, and support information are provided as helpful resources. They do not replace proper technical knowledge, safe handling practices, or professional repair service when needed.

Do not install any product if you are unsure of the correct location, orientation, socket, board revision, or compatibility. Contact HighScoreSaves before proceeding.

Defective, Damaged, Incorrect, or Missing Items

If you receive a defective, damaged, incorrect, or incomplete item, please contact HighScoreSaves as soon as possible at sales@highscoresaves.com.

Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and photos when helpful. Photos may be requested to evaluate shipping damage, installation issues, product defects, incorrect items, missing parts, compatibility concerns, or customer handling concerns.

HighScoreSaves will review the issue and work with you to determine the most appropriate resolution. This may include replacement parts, product exchange, technical assistance, repair guidance, return instructions, or a refund when applicable.

Shipping Damage and Delivery Issues

If a package arrives visibly damaged, retain all packaging materials and contact HighScoreSaves within 5 business days of delivery so we can assist with the carrier claim process.

For damaged shipments, photos of the outer packaging, inner packaging, shipping label, and damaged item may be required. Do not discard packaging until the issue has been reviewed.

If tracking shows a package as delivered, customers should check porches, side doors, garages, mailboxes, parcel lockers, building offices, and other secure locations where the carrier may have left the package.

Delivered packages: Once a package is marked as delivered by the shipping carrier, HighScoreSaves considers the shipment successfully delivered to the address provided during checkout.

Digital Downloads and Software Images

Digital downloads, ARpiCADE software images, and electronically delivered products are non-refundable.

Digital downloads, ARpiCADE software images, and other electronically delivered products become available immediately after checkout. Because these items are delivered electronically and can be accessed right away, they cannot be returned, exchanged, refunded, or covered under the same warranty process as physical products.

Customers are responsible for confirming that they are purchasing the correct digital product before completing checkout.

HighScoreSaves is not responsible for download issues caused by customer device limitations, unsupported hardware, improper installation, corrupted storage media, incorrect file handling, network issues, or customer-side software problems.

Wi-Fi Enabled Kits and Online Services

Some HighScoreSaves products may include optional Wi-Fi features, online high score uploading, online leaderboards, personal high score pages, or related online services.

Wi-Fi features require compatible hardware, correct kit configuration, a supported wireless network, accurate setup information, and a reliable internet connection. Customer network settings, router compatibility, signal strength, firewall settings, internet service issues, and local network conditions are outside the control of HighScoreSaves.

Online score features and leaderboard services are provided as a convenience and may be updated, changed, interrupted, limited, or discontinued when necessary for maintenance, security, technical improvements, abuse prevention, or service changes.

HighScoreSaves is not responsible for failed uploads, lost connectivity, incorrect display information, score upload issues, network problems, router limitations, or setup delays caused by incorrect customer-provided information or local network conditions.

How To Request Warranty or Product Support

To request warranty review, replacement help, product support, or troubleshooting assistance, contact HighScoreSaves by email. Email is preferred because it allows us to review order details, photos, videos, product information, and installation details before responding.

  • Review the installation guide for your specific product.
  • Confirm the correct board, socket, chip orientation, and Pin 1 location.
  • Confirm the arcade machine is powered off before checking or adjusting installed parts.
  • Take clear photos before removing or changing anything if there may be an installation issue.

However, product information, compatibility notes, installation resources, digital downloads, online services, and related content are provided as available and may contain errors, interruptions, delays, compatibility limits, or technical issues.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HighScoreSaves disclaims implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted service, error-free operation, and compatibility with every arcade PCB, cabinet, network, device, or customer setup.

HighScoreSaves is not liable for damage, loss, delay, expense, injury, lost profits, lost data, lost scores, lost business, loss of use, hardware damage, installation damage, electrical damage, PCB damage, cabinet damage, network issues, delivery delays, customs delays, carrier errors, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from website use, product purchase, installation, digital downloads, online services, shipping, returns, or customer handling.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations, so some limitations may not apply to you. In those cases, HighScoreSaves’ liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
