No. Free Play can be used while retaining normal coin operation when desired. Which ROM version is required? The kit requires the Asteroids Version 2 vector ROM set. Confirm your board revision before installation. A board using an incompatible ROM revision must be updated as described in the Braze installation guide. Carefully remove the original 6502 CPU from its socket on the Asteroids arcade PCB. Install the original 6502 CPU into the socket on the Braze daughterboard, observing the correct Pin 1 orientation. Install the assembled daughterboard into the vacated 6502 CPU socket on the Asteroids PCB. Confirm the required REV2 vector EPROM is installed as described in the installation guide. Recheck all component orientation and connections before powering the cabinet back on. How to Clear the Saved High Scores Place the cabinet into Self Test using the cabinet’s self-test switch. While Self Test is active, press and hold all four control buttons: Left, Right, Fire, and Thrust. The screen displays ERASED when the stored high scores have been cleared. This is the same button procedure used by Asteroids Deluxe. Braze Asteroids Kit FAQ Is this the Braze or HighScoreSaves Asteroids kit?
