the machine is powered off. This HighScoreSaves kit adds battery-free
Top 10 score storage while continuing to use the original Atari PCB,
6502 processor, vector display hardware, controls, sound hardware,
and game program.
The kit also adds Free Play, coin-operation support, extended scoring,
menu-driven settings, separate score tables for supported lives settings,
score backup and restore, attract-mode protection, a reset function,
optional copyright-screen branding, and optional Wi-Fi leaderboard support.
This is not an emulator, replacement game board, or multigame system.
The original Asteroids gameplay remains unchanged.

locally on the installed arcade PCB. It does not require an internet connection.
The optional Wi-Fi Enabled Kit includes the same local

Wi-Fi-enabled kits connect to compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local score saving or normal gameplay.

current board is configured as REV1 or REV2.
Confirm your board revision before installation. A board using an incompatible
ROM revision must be updated as described in the Braze installation guide.

Installation Overview
Turn off and unplug the arcade cabinet before accessing the PCB.
Carefully remove the original 6502 CPU from its socket on the
Asteroids arcade PCB.
Install the original 6502 CPU into the socket on the Braze daughterboard,
observing the correct Pin 1 orientation.
Install the assembled daughterboard into the vacated 6502 CPU socket
on the Asteroids PCB.
Confirm the required REV2 vector EPROM is installed as described
in the installation guide.
Recheck all component orientation and connections before powering
the cabinet back on.
How to Clear the Saved High Scores
Place the cabinet into Self Test using the cabinet’s
self-test switch.
While Self Test is active, press and hold all four control buttons:
Left, Right, Fire,
and Thrust.
The screen displays ERASED when the stored high scores
have been cleared. This is the same button procedure used by Asteroids Deluxe.
