The ARpiCADE 3–4 Player Raspberry Pi JAMMA Adapter is designed for compatible multiplayer arcade cabinets that need support for three- or four-player games. It connects a Raspberry Pi-based multigame system to the cabinet’s JAMMA wiring, controls, audio system, power supply, and display.

Multiplayer JAMMA Cabinet Installation

The main ARpiCADE adapter connects directly to a compatible JAMMA cabinet harness and draws power from the cabinet’s properly regulated arcade power supply. Player 1 and Player 2 controls are carried through the JAMMA harness.

Player 3 and Player 4 controls connect through the dedicated multiplayer headers using the appropriate compatible harnesses. The exact harness arrangement depends on the cabinet, selected software image, and control-panel wiring.

Player 3 and Player 4 Controls

The multiplayer expansion provides connections for Player 3 and Player 4 joystick directions, start, coin, and action-button inputs. Konami-style multiplayer configurations may require separate harness connections for each additional player.

Compatible premade harnesses may be available separately. Confirm the connector, control layout, and game-list image requirements before ordering.

Extra Buttons for Players 1 and 2

Standard JAMMA wiring normally supports up to three action buttons for Player 1 and Player 2. Games requiring buttons 4, 5, and 6 need the compatible extra-button harness and the correct DIP-switch configuration.

Additional buttons must already be installed in the cabinet or added to the control panel. The harness supplies the electrical connections but does not physically add controls.

Arcade Monitor and Modern Display Support

The system can be configured for compatible low-resolution RGBS arcade monitors or selected higher-resolution VGA and modern-display arrangements. Choose the product’s monitor option according to the display installed in the cabinet.

Never connect an arcade monitor to an incompatible signal or resolution. Confirm the monitor type and selected configuration before applying power.

Audio Output

ARpiCADE supports amplified mono audio through compatible JAMMA cabinet wiring and line-level stereo output for installations using an external amplifier or powered audio system.

Important Installation Precaution

Install the system only with the cabinet powered off. Make sure the expansion board edges and connector pins are aligned evenly before connecting the Raspberry Pi ribbon cable and applying power.
