Installation: Plug-in installation when the original 6809E is already socketed. If the 6809E is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible 40-pin socket must be installed before fitting the kit.

What This Kit Adds
What's Included
Power the cabinet off, hold Player 1 Start, power the cabinet back on, and release the button when the on-screen prompt tells you to continue.
Verify the 6809E processor location, compatible 40-pin socket, processor orientation, daughter-card orientation, and all installation steps before applying power. If the game does not start correctly after installation, power the cabinet off and recheck the installation.
Standard vs. Wi-Fi Kit
Standard Kit
Saves supported scores locally and includes Free Play, Top 10 score saving, selectable initials, attract sounds, on-screen settings, Flip Screen, Backup and Restore, ROM Saver, and other supported local functionality without requiring an internet connection.
Wi-Fi Enabled Kit
Includes the same local gameplay and high score functionality while adding supported online leaderboard submission.
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local score saving or normal gameplay. Wi-Fi-enabled kits use compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

The base kit includes one HighScoreSaves 6809E daughter card.
What processor does the kit require?
A compatible 6809E processor is required.
Does installation require soldering?
No soldering is required when the 6809E location already has a compatible 40-pin socket. If the processor is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible socket must be installed first.
How many high scores are saved?
The kit permanently stores the Top 10 supported high scores.
Can I choose 3-character or 10-character initials?
Yes. Select your preferred initials format through the on-screen menu.
How do I access the settings menu?
Power the cabinet off, hold Player 1 Start, power the cabinet back on, and release the button when prompted.
Does Free Play disable normal coin operation?
No. Free Play and traditional coin operation can both be used.
Does the kit support attract sounds?
Yes. Attract sounds can play during 100% of the supported attract rotation.
Can the screen be flipped?
Yes. Flip Screen rotates the display 180° through the supported on-screen menu.
Can I back up and restore high scores?
Yes. Backup and Restore functionality is included.
Does the kit support upright and cocktail cabinets?
Yes. Both documented upright and cocktail Yie Ar Kung Fu configurations are supported.

I love these so much I bought two of them
This is one of the few great games of the past and it's nice to have the kit for it. HSS gives you the highest quality service plus the highest quality product on the planet. If you're on the fence about this one I say don't worry go ahead and grab it you're going to love it! Saving the high scores is fun and helps you to keep track of your progress of how well you do. Plus it's nice to have the free plate without having to pop in quarters or have the screen stay stagnant
