Wizard of Wor Compatibility & Requirements
Installation: Plug-in installation when the original Z80 is already socketed. The original Z80 is removed from the CPU board, installed on the HighScoreSaves daughter card, and the daughter card is installed at the documented CPU location. If the Z80 is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible 40-pin socket must be installed first.

What's Included
The original Z80 processor from your Wizard of Wor CPU board is installed on the daughter card during installation.
Verify Z80 processor orientation, Pin 1 alignment, daughter-card seating, CPU socket condition, Bally Midway board-stack positions, memory/ROM-board changes, and all cabinet connections before restoring power.
Standard vs. Wi-Fi Kit
Standard Kit
Saves supported scores locally and includes the core Free Play, Top 5 score saving, lives-based score tables, attract sounds, multilingual settings, Backup and Restore, Reset, Stealth Mode, ROM Saver, and other supported local features without requiring an internet connection.
Wi-Fi Enabled Kit
Includes the same local gameplay and score-saving functionality and adds supported online score uploading and leaderboard functionality. Wi-Fi hardware is included only with the Wi-Fi Enabled version, so select that configuration when ordering if online uploading is desired.
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local score saving or normal gameplay. Wi-Fi-enabled kits use compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

Which processor does the Wizard of Wor kit require?

What comes with the base kit?

The kit permanently stores the Top 5 supported scores with player initials.
Are there separate score tables for different lives settings?
Yes. Separate supported high score tables are maintained for 2, 3, 4, and 5 lives.
Which languages are supported?
English, German, and French language selections are supported.
How do I access the settings menu?
Power the cabinet off, hold Player 1 Start, turn the cabinet back on, and release Player 1 Start when the on-screen prompt tells you to continue.
How does the Reset function work?
Enable Reset through the kit menu, then press Player 1 Start + Player 2 Start together to restart Wizard of Wor without cycling cabinet power.
Can attract sounds be adjusted?
Yes. Attract sounds can be configured at 25%, 50%, or 100% of the supported attract rotation.
Is the original memory/ROM board still required?
No. The supported Wizard of Wor game program runs from the HighScoreSaves kit, and the original memory/ROM board is not required when the kit is installed as directed.
Does the kit support upright and cocktail cabinets?
Yes. The current product supports documented upright and cocktail Wizard of Wor cabinets.
Is Wi-Fi required?
No. Standard kits save supported scores locally. Wi-Fi is optional for supported online leaderboard functionality.
