The HighScoreSaves Warlords Free Play and High Score Save Kit upgrades compatible original Atari Warlords arcade hardware with permanent Top 5 score saving for both Single and Team play, Free Play, adjustable attract sounds, menu-driven settings, separate lives-based score tables, ROM Saver, Backup and Restore, Reset, Fast Boot, Stealth Mode, and optional Wi-Fi leaderboard functionality while continuing to use the original arcade PCB, controls, sound, timing, and multiplayer gameplay hardware.
Warlords Compatibility & Requirements
Installation: Plug-in installation when the original 6502 processor is already socketed. The original 6502 is removed from the Warlords PCB, installed on the HighScoreSaves daughter card, and the daughter card is installed at the original 6502 location. If the processor is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible 40-pin socket must be installed first.
Warlords Settings Menu Access
Power the cabinet off, hold Player 1 Start, power the cabinet back on, and release the button when prompted on screen.

Standard vs. Wi-Fi Kit
Standard Kit
Saves supported scores locally and includes the core Free Play, Single and Team score saving, attract-sound, menu, Backup and Restore, Reset, Fast Boot, Stealth Mode, ROM Saver, and other supported local features without requiring an internet connection.
Wi-Fi Enabled Kit
Includes the same local high score and gameplay functionality while adding supported online leaderboard functionality.
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local score saving or normal gameplay. Wi-Fi-enabled kits use compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

Which arcade hardware is this kit designed for?
The kit is designed for compatible original Atari Warlords arcade hardware.
Which processor does the Warlords kit require?
The original compatible 6502 processor from the Warlords PCB is required.
What comes with the base kit?
The base Warlords kit includes one HighScoreSaves 6502 daughter card. Your original 6502 processor is installed on that card during installation.
Does installation require soldering?
No soldering is required when the 6502 location already has a compatible 40-pin socket. If the processor is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible socket must be installed first.
How many high scores are saved?
The kit permanently stores the Top 5 supported scores for both Single and Team play.
Are there separate score tables for different lives settings?
Yes. Separate supported score tables are available for 2, 3, 4, and 5 lives.
Can attract sounds be adjusted?
Yes. Warlords attract sounds can be set to 25%, 50%, or 100% of the supported attract rotation.
How do I access the settings menu?

Does the kit support both Free Play and Coin-Up?
Yes. Use Free Play or continue using traditional coin operation when desired.

Exactly what my Warlords cabinet needed
I wanted to keep my original Warlords machine as authentic as possible while adding a few modern conveniences, and this kit was the perfect solution. Must have kit
Very happy that Highscoresaves makes kits for these classic arcade games. Ordered and received within a few days. Install guide is straight forward for an easy installation. The save kit works perfectly. Highly recommended!
