Tutankham Compatibility & Requirements
Installation: Plug-in installation when the original 6809E processor is already socketed. If the processor is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible 40-pin socket must be installed before the kit can be fitted.

Standard vs. Wi-Fi Kit
Standard Kit
Saves supported scores locally and includes the core Free Play, attract-sound, menu, score-table, Backup and Restore, ROM Saver, and high score features without requiring an internet connection.
Wi-Fi Enabled Kit
Includes the same local high score features and adds compatible online leaderboard functionality.
Wi-Fi hardware must be selected when ordering and cannot be added later to a Standard kit.

The kit is designed for compatible original Konami Tutankham arcade hardware.
Which processor does the kit require?
A compatible 6809E processor is required.
What comes with the base kit?
The base Tutankham kit includes one HighScoreSaves 6809E daughter card.
Does installation require soldering?
No soldering is required when the processor location already has the proper compatible 40-pin socket. If the 6809E is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible socket must be installed first.
How many high scores are saved?
The kit permanently stores the Top 5 supported high scores with initials.
Are there separate high score tables?
Yes. Separate supported score tables are maintained for 2, 3, 4, and 5 lives.
How do I enter the settings menu?
Hold Player 1 Start for approximately four seconds while turning on the cabinet and release the button when prompted on screen.
Can I still use coins?
Yes. The kit supports both Free Play and traditional coin-up operation.
Can I back up and restore high scores?
Yes. Backup and Restore functionality is included.
What does ROM Saver do?
The kit can run the supported game program without relying on the original program ROMs, allowing those supported ROMs to be removed and stored if desired.
Does it support upright and cocktail cabinets?
Yes. Documented upright and cocktail Tutankham cabinet configurations are supported.
Can a Standard kit be upgraded to Wi-Fi later?
No. Wi-Fi hardware must be included during the original purchase.
