Installation: Plug-in installation when the required Z80 processor is already socketed. If the processor is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible 40-pin socket must be installed before the kit can be used.

Standard vs. Wi-Fi Kit
Standard Kit
Stores supported Tapper Multigame scores and settings locally. No internet connection is required for gameplay, Free Play, Coin-Up operation, game selection, local score saving, or menu operation.
Wi-Fi Enabled Kit
Includes the same local functionality and adds supported online score submission to the HighScoreSaves leaderboard platform.
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local score saving or normal gameplay. Wi-Fi-enabled kits use compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

Which arcade PCBs are supported?
The kit is designed for documented compatible original Tapper or Timber arcade PCBs.
Which games are included?
Tapper, Timber, Root Beer Tapper, and Simpsons Tapper.
Which processor is required?
A compatible socketed Z80 processor is required.
Does installation require soldering?
No soldering is required when the required Z80 location already uses a compatible 40-pin socket. A compatible socket must be installed first if the CPU is soldered.
How many high scores are saved?
The kit saves Top 10 scores by default and supports optional Top 3 score-saving behavior.
Can Timber support two-player simultaneous play?
Yes when installed in a Timber cabinet. Timber is limited to one-player operation when played using a Tapper cabinet control layout.
Can I choose which game boots first?
Yes. Supported boot choices include Tapper, Timber, Root Beer Tapper, Simpsons Tapper, and supported last-played-game behavior.
Can I back up and restore scores?
Yes. Backup and Restore functionality is included.
Will the Wi-Fi kit still work if Wi-Fi is disabled?
Yes. Local gameplay, Free Play, Coin-Up operation, score saving, game selection, and menu operation continue to work without Wi-Fi.

Great way to add Timber
Easy way to add a few more games in my Tapper cabinet

Neat kit for Tapper! Nice to be able to play Timber again.
This is a great kit for an original Tapper machine. It's got Root Beer Tapper and Simpsons Tapper too.
This thing also plays Timber which is cool because the left/right Timber stick has been mapped to the single-pull tap so that your axe always swings in the direction you're facing. Neat! It's almost more intuitive than the original Timber controls.
The kit's daughter cards fit *tight* -- I mean real tight -- so be ginger when plugging them in. Other than that, the order of the 3-board sandwich will change once the kit is installed so be prepared.

Must have kit
Very happy that Highscoresaves makes kits for these classic arcade games. Ordered and received within a few days. Install guide is straight forward for an easy installation. The save kit works perfectly. Highly recommended!
