Product information "Rush'n Attack | Green Beret Free Play and High Score Save Kit"

Rush'n Attack | Green Beret Free Play and High Score Save Kit

Upgrade a documented compatible original Konami Rush'n Attack or Green Beret arcade PCB with permanent Top 10 score saving, player initials, Free Play, menu-driven settings, God Mode, graphics selection, Flip Screen, Stealth Mode, and optional Wi-Fi leaderboard support.

The HighScoreSaves daughter card installs at the original Z80 processor location and continues to use the compatible original Konami PCB as the operating arcade hardware.

This is an original-PCB upgrade rather than a replacement JAMMA board, reproduction PCB, generic multicade, or software-emulation platform.

Choose Your Rush'n Attack | Green Beret Kit Configuration

Choose a Standard Save Kit for local score and settings storage or a Wi-Fi Enabled Kit that also supports qualifying online leaderboard score submission.

A compatible Z80 processor is required. The existing compatible processor may be transferred to the daughter card, or a replacement Z80 may be selected when ordering.

The original processor location must use a compatible 40-pin socket. If the Z80 is soldered directly to the PCB, a suitable socket must be installed before fitting the daughter card.

Top 10 Scores and Separate Lives-Based Score Tables

The kit permanently saves the Top 10 high scores and player initials using battery-free serial EEPROM storage.

Separate supported high score tables are maintained for 2-, 3-, and 4-life settings. This keeps scores earned under different lives configurations from being combined into a single leaderboard.

Rush'n Attack and Green Beret Graphics Selection

The kit supports selection between the Rush'n Attack and Green Beret graphics ROM configurations through the on-screen menu.

This shared product is designed for documented compatible original Rush'n Attack or Green Beret PCB hardware, allowing the supported graphics presentation to be selected without replacing the original Konami arcade platform.

Rush'n Attack | Green Beret Settings Menu

With cabinet power off, press and hold Player 1 Start. Continue holding Player 1 Start while turning the cabinet on, then release the button when prompted on screen.

The settings menu provides access to supported gameplay settings, lives configuration, attract sounds, graphics selection, Flip Screen, God Mode, Stealth Mode, score functions, Backup and Restore, and other kit-specific options.

God Mode Practice Setting

God Mode provides unlimited lives for practice and game exploration. High score saving is disabled while God Mode is active so practice-mode scores are not added to the permanent competitive score tables.

Rush'n Attack | Green Beret Installation Requirements

The daughter card is designed for documented compatible original Rush'n Attack or Green Beret PCBs. Confirm that the existing board is fully working before beginning installation.

  • Compatible Hardware: Documented original Konami Rush'n Attack or Green Beret PCB

  • Processor: A compatible Z80 is required on the HighScoreSaves daughter card
  • CPU Transfer: The existing compatible Z80 may be removed from the PCB and installed on the daughter card
  • 40-Pin Socket: The daughter card requires a compatible socket at the original Z80 location
  • Pin 1: Verify processor and daughter-card orientation before restoring cabinet power
  • Clearance: Confirm that test points or components on the original PCB do not contact the underside of the daughter card
  • ROM Saver: Original program ROM removal is optional when installed according to the guide

Rush'n Attack | Green Beret ROM Saver

The daughter card supplies the supported game program functionality used by the kit. The original program ROMs identified in the installation guide may therefore be removed if desired after successful installation.

Program ROM removal is optional. If the original ROMs are removed, store them safely and record their original locations.

Standard Save Kit vs. Wi-Fi Enabled Kit

The Standard Save Kit stores supported scores and settings locally and does not require an internet connection for gameplay, Free Play, menu operation, graphics selection, God Mode, or local high score saving.

The Wi-Fi Enabled Kit includes the same local functionality and adds qualifying online score submission to the HighScoreSaves leaderboard.
