Rally X Multigame Compatibility & Requirements
Installation: Plug-in installation when the original Z80 and documented component locations are already properly socketed. If the Z80 is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible 40-pin socket must be installed before the kit can be used. Install the additional graphics and color hardware only at the locations identified in the installation guide.

Standard vs. Wi-Fi Kit
Standard Kit
Saves supported scores and settings locally and provides Free Play, Coin-Up operation, local score saving, and menu operation without requiring an internet connection.
Wi-Fi Enabled Kit
Includes the same local functionality and adds qualifying online leaderboard score submission through the HighScoreSaves platform.
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local score saving or normal gameplay. Wi-Fi-enabled kits use compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

Which games are included?
The Multigame Kit includes Rally X and New Rally X for documented compatible original Rally-X arcade hardware.
How is the Multigame Kit different from the Rally-X Lite Kit?
The full Multigame Kit uses additional supported graphics and color hardware beyond the Z80 daughter card. The Lite version continues to use the original PCB color PROM hardware.
What is the Multikit GFX ROM setting?
After installation, configure the supported GFX ROM option to Multikit so the graphics hardware is mapped correctly for the Multigame configuration.
Does the Z80 processor need to be socketed?
Yes. The documented Z80 processor location must use a compatible 40-pin socket before the daughter card can be installed.
Does installation require soldering?
No soldering is required for the kit installation when the documented processor and component locations are properly socketed. If the Z80 is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible 40-pin socket must be installed first.
How many high scores are saved?
The kit stores the Top 5 supported scores with player initials.
Why are there up to 16 score tables?
Supported score-table combinations are separated according to lives and bonus settings so scores from different supported configurations do not have to be combined into one table.
Can I still use coins?
Yes. Free Play is available while traditional Coin-Up operation remains supported when quarters or tokens are desired.
Does the kit support upright and cocktail cabinets?
The documented Multigame hardware supports compatible upright and cocktail configurations.
Is Wi-Fi required?
No. The Standard Save Kit stores supported scores and settings locally. Wi-Fi is optional for qualifying online leaderboard score submission.
