Standard vs. Wi-Fi Kit
Standard Kit
Saves supported scores and settings locally and provides Free Play, Coin-Up operation, the Game Menu, direct boot, ROM Saver, Backup and Restore, God Mode, and supported Q*bert Qubes features without requiring an internet connection.
Wi-Fi Enabled Kit
Includes the same local features and adds qualifying online leaderboard score submission through the HighScoreSaves platform.
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local score saving or normal gameplay. Wi-Fi-enabled kits use compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

Does this kit require an original Gottlieb Q*bert PCB?
Yes. The kit is designed for documented compatible original Gottlieb Q*bert arcade PCBs and is not a replacement arcade board.
Which games are included?
Q*bert, Q*bert Qubes, FHMC Q*bert, Mello Yello Q*bert, and 7-11 Q*bert.
How many high scores are saved?
Q*bert saves the Top 23 supported scores and Q*bert Qubes saves the Top 20 supported scores.
Does the 8088 processor need to be socketed?
Yes. The documented 8088 processor location must use a compatible 40-pin socket before the multigame daughterboard can be installed.
Does installation require soldering?
No soldering is required when the documented 8088 processor location is already properly socketed. If the CPU is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible 40-pin socket must be installed first.
How do I access the Q*bert Multigame settings menu?
With the cabinet powered off, hold Player 1 Start while turning on the cabinet, then release the button when instructed on screen.
Can the cabinet boot directly into a game?
Yes. The kit can start at the multigame menu or boot directly into a selected included title.
What is God Mode?
God Mode provides unlimited lives for practice while score saving is disabled.
Does the kit support cocktail cabinets?
The kit supports documented compatible upright and cocktail configurations, including supported Q*bert Qubes cocktail operation.
What does ROM Saver do?
ROM Saver allows designated original program ROMs to be removed when the kit is installed according to the Q*bert Multigame installation guide.
Is Wi-Fi required?
No. Standard kits save supported scores and settings locally. Wi-Fi is optional for qualifying online leaderboard score submission.
