The HighScoreSaves Pac-Man Free Play and High Score Save Kit upgrades a documented compatible original Pac-Man or Ms. Pac-Man arcade PCB with selectable original-speed and fast Pac-Man, Free Play, permanent Top 10 score and initials saving, extended scoring, attract sounds, menu-driven settings, Level 255 kill-screen practice, and optional Wi-Fi leaderboard support while retaining the original arcade hardware.
Pac-Man Compatibility & Requirements
Installation: Plug-in installation when the original Z80 is already socketed. The original processor is removed from the PCB and installed on the HighScoreSaves daughterboard unless a compatible processor option is selected. If the Z80 is soldered directly to the PCB, a qualified arcade technician must install a compatible 40-pin socket first.
Pac-Man Settings Menu Access
During attract mode, hold Player 1 Start for approximately 4 seconds to open the supported game-selection and settings menu.

Standard vs. Wi-Fi Kit
Standard Kit
Permanently saves supported scores, initials, settings, and configuration data locally. No internet connection is required.
Wi-Fi Enabled Kit
Includes the same local features and can also submit supported completed scores to the HighScoreSaves online leaderboard after qualifying initials are entered.
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local score saving or normal gameplay. Wi-Fi-enabled kits use compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

Which Pac-Man versions are included?
The kit includes original-speed Pac-Man and fast Pac-Man.
Does this kit include Ms. Pac-Man?
No. The kit can install on a documented compatible Ms. Pac-Man PCB, but its selectable game content is Pac-Man. Choose the separate Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man multigame kit when both games are wanted.
How is the HighScoreSaves menu opened?
During attract mode, hold Player 1 Start for approximately 4 seconds.
How many high scores are saved?
The kit permanently stores the Top 10 qualifying scores and player initials.
Are fast and original Pac-Man scores separated?
Yes. Original-speed and fast Pac-Man maintain independent supported high-score tables.
Can I practice the Pac-Man kill screen?
Yes. The supported menu includes an option to begin directly at Level 255.
Which original ROMs are removed?
The designated original program ROMs in row 6 must be removed. Graphics ROMs 5E and 5F must remain installed.
What changes when installing on a Ms. Pac-Man PCB?
The original Ms. Pac-Man daughterboard and ribbon cable are not used with this HighScoreSaves Pac-Man kit.

Is Wi-Fi required?
No. The Standard Kit saves supported scores, initials, and settings locally. Wi-Fi is optional for supported online score submission.
