The HighScoreSaves Ms. Pac-Man Free Play and High Score Save Kit upgrades documented compatible original Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man arcade PCBs with original-speed and fast Ms. Pac-Man, Free Play, permanent Top 10 score and initials saving, extended scoring, attract sounds, menu-driven settings, Level 255 practice, and optional Wi-Fi leaderboard support while retaining the original arcade hardware.
Ms. Pac-Man Compatibility & Requirements
Installation: Plug-in installation when the original Z80 is already socketed. The original processor is removed from the PCB and installed on the HighScoreSaves daughterboard unless a compatible processor option is selected. If the Z80 is soldered directly to the PCB, a qualified arcade technician must install a compatible 40-pin socket first.
Ms. Pac-Man Settings Menu Access
During attract mode, hold Player 1 Start for approximately 4 seconds to open the supported game and settings menu.

Standard vs. Wi-Fi Kit
Standard Kit
Permanently saves supported scores, initials, settings, and configuration data locally. No internet connection is required.
Wi-Fi Enabled Kit
Includes the same local features and can also submit supported completed scores to the HighScoreSaves online leaderboard after qualifying initials are entered.
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local score saving or normal gameplay. Wi-Fi-enabled kits use compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

Which Ms. Pac-Man versions are included?
The kit includes original-speed Ms. Pac-Man and fast Ms. Pac-Man.
Does this kit include Pac-Man?
No. The kit can install on a documented compatible Pac-Man PCB, but its selectable game content is Ms. Pac-Man. Choose the separate Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man multigame kit when both games are wanted.
How is the HighScoreSaves menu opened?
During attract mode, hold Player 1 Start for approximately 4 seconds.
How many high scores are saved?
The kit permanently stores the Top 10 supported scores and qualifying player initials.
Are fast and original-speed scores separated?
Yes. Fast and original-speed Ms. Pac-Man maintain independent supported high-score tables.
Can I practice Level 255?
Yes. The supported menu includes an option to begin directly at Level 255.
Which original ROMs are removed?
The designated original program ROMs in row 6 must be removed. Graphics ROMs 5E and 5F must remain installed.
Does installation require soldering?
Not when the documented Z80 location already has a compatible 40-pin socket. If the processor is soldered directly to the PCB, a qualified arcade technician must install a compatible socket first.
Is Wi-Fi required?
No. The Standard Kit saves supported scores, initials, and settings locally. Wi-Fi is optional for supported online score submission.

Highly recommend
I installed this kit in my Ms. Pac-Man cabinet and it worked perfectly. Having high score saving and Free Play makes the game even more fun to keep coming back to. I’d highly recommend this kit to any Ms. Pac-Man owner who wants a simple upgrade while keeping the original arcade experience.

The upgrade Ms. Pac-Man should have always had
This kit has made my original Ms. Pac-Man cabinet even more enjoyable to own. Installation was simple, the instructions were easy to follow, and everything worked perfectly on the first power-up. The free play feature is great for parties, but the high score save is what really stands out. It's nice knowing our best scores are still there the next time we turn the machine on.
The kit is very well made, installs cleanly without any permanent modifications to the original PCB, and has been completely reliable. Shipping was fast, packaging was excellent, and customer service was responsive and knowledgeable. If you want to preserve your original Ms. Pac-Man hardware while adding features that feel like they should have been there from the beginning, this kit is an excellent investment. Highly recommended.
