Mario Bros. Compatibility & Requirements
Installation: Plug-in installation when the original Z80 is already socketed. The original processor is removed from the Nintendo PCB, installed in the kit, and the assembled upgrade is installed in the vacated CPU socket. If the Z80 is soldered directly to the PCB, a qualified arcade technician must install a compatible 40-pin socket first.

What This Kit Adds
Standard vs. Wi-Fi Kit
Standard Kit
Permanently saves supported scores, initials, and settings locally and provides Free Play, attract-sound options, separate score tables, backup and restore, Reset, Self-Test access, ROM Saver, and other documented local features without requiring an internet connection.
Wi-Fi Enabled Kit
Includes the same local features and can also submit qualifying scores to the HighScoreSaves online leaderboard after the player enters their initials.
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local score saving or normal gameplay. Wi-Fi-enabled kits use compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

How many scores and initials are saved?
The kit permanently stores the Top 5 scores and player initials.
Does the kit support Free Play and coin operation?
Yes. Free Play can be enabled while normal coin operation remains available.
Does installation require soldering?
No soldering is required when the original Z80 processor is already installed in a compatible 40-pin socket. If the processor is soldered directly to the PCB, a qualified arcade technician must install a socket first.
How is the Mario Bros. kit installed?
The original Z80 processor is removed from the Nintendo PCB and transferred to the HighScoreSaves kit. The assembled kit is then installed into the original CPU socket.
Can settings be adjusted without changing physical DIP switches?
Yes. Supported game and DIP-switch settings can be adjusted through the kit's on-screen menu.

Like all of the other kids this one was a breeze to put on. You don't need a lot of knowledge or anything just follow the instructions and you're ready to go. Does exactly as it's supposed to and really makes playing my game more fun as I try to chase the high scores
