The HighScoreSaves Mappy Free Play and High Score Save Kit upgrades documented compatible original Namco Mappy arcade hardware with Free Play, permanent Top 5 score saving, full attract sounds, menu-driven settings, ROM Saver support, separate score tables, backup and restore, selectable character names, and optional Wi-Fi leaderboard functionality while retaining the original arcade PCB and authentic gameplay.

Processor: 6809E

Processor Location: Compatible 40-pin CPU socket

Soldering: Not required when the 6809E processor is already socketed

ROM Saver: Supports optional removal of designated original program ROMs

Cabinet Support: Documented upright and cocktail cabinet configurations

Installation: Plug-in installation when the original 6809E processor is already socketed. If the processor is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible 40-pin socket must be installed before the kit can be used.

To access the HighScoreSaves Mappy settings menu, hold Player 1 Start while turning the cabinet on. Release the button when the on-screen prompt tells you to continue.
