Ladybug Settings Menu Access

To access the HighScoreSaves Ladybug settings menu, hold Player 1 Start while turning the cabinet on. Release the button when the on-screen prompt tells you to continue.

What This Kit Adds

Free Play Play Ladybug without inserting coins while retaining traditional Coin-Up operation when desired.

Permanent Top 9 High Scores Permanently saves the Top 9 supported scores with initials using battery-free serial EEPROM storage.

3 or 10 Character Initials Select either traditional 3-character initials or longer 10-character player names through the on-screen menu.

Adjustable Attract Sounds Configure attract sounds for 25%, 50%, or 100% of attract rotations.

Attract-Mode Protection Helps reduce prolonged static imagery and CRT monitor burn-in during idle operation.

Menu-Driven DIP Settings Change supported DIP settings through the on-screen menu without opening the cabinet.

ROM Saver Allows designated original program ROMs to be removed when installed as directed.

Separate Score Tables Maintains independent supported score tables for 2, 3, and 4 lives settings.

Score Backup & Restore Save and restore supported high-score data when needed.

Reset Button Support The optional Reset Button feature allows gameplay to be restarted without powering down the cabinet.

Standard Kit

Saves supported scores locally to the original arcade hardware and does not require an internet connection for normal gameplay, Free Play, menu settings, ROM Saver operation, or local score saving.

Wi-Fi Enabled Kit

Includes the same local features and adds supported online score syncing through the HighScoreSaves global leaderboard platform.

Does Ladybug kit installation require soldering?

No soldering is required when the Z80 processor is already socketed. If the processor is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible 40-pin socket must be installed first.

Can I choose different initials lengths?
