Kung-Fu Master Compatibility & Requirements
Installation: Plug-in installation when the original Z80 is already socketed. If the processor is soldered directly to the PCB, a qualified arcade technician must install a compatible 40-pin socket first. Check daughter-card clearance and spacer placement before restoring cabinet power.

What This Kit Adds
Standard vs. Wi-Fi Kit
Standard Kit
Saves supported scores locally and provides the documented Free Play, menu settings, ROM Saver, God Mode, Flip Screen, difficulty, energy-loss, and other local features without requiring an internet connection.
Wi-Fi Enabled Kit
Includes the same local features and adds supported online score syncing through the HighScoreSaves global leaderboard platform.
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting local score saving or normal gameplay. Wi-Fi-enabled kits use compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.
Kung-Fu Master Kit FAQ
Does Kung-Fu Master kit installation require soldering?
No soldering is required when the Z80 processor is already installed in a compatible 40-pin socket. If the CPU is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible socket must be installed first.
Does installation require additional clearance?
It may. The daughter card may need to be raised slightly to prevent contact underneath the PCB, and additional spacers may be required depending on the board revision.
How many high scores are permanently saved?
The kit permanently stores the Top 20 supported scores using serial EEPROM storage.
Are separate score tables supported?
Yes. Independent score tables are supported for 3, 4, and 5 lives settings.
What is God Mode?
God Mode provides extended gameplay without a normal game-over state for practice and fun gameplay sessions.
Can difficulty and energy-loss settings be changed?
Yes. Supported difficulty and energy-loss settings can be adjusted through the menu system.
What is ROM Saver?
ROM Saver allows designated original program ROMs to be removed when the kit is installed as directed.
Does the kit support Flip Screen?
Yes. Flip Screen support allows the display orientation to be rotated for compatible cabinet setups.
