Upgrade Your Gyruss Arcade Experience

Restore and enhance your original Gyruss arcade machine with a professionally designed Free Play and High Score Save Kit built specifically for authentic Konami arcade hardware.

Original boards often lose high scores, rely on aging components, or suffer from unstable resets. This upgrade modernizes your PCB while preserving the original gameplay, controls, timing, and rotating shooter gameplay that made Gyruss one of Konami's most memorable arcade classics.

Unlike multigame systems or reproduction boards, this kit keeps your original arcade PCB intact while improving long-term reliability for collectors, operators, and restoration projects.

Works great. Check your CPU socket.

Be sure to check your machine to see if you need a CPU socket. My Z80 was soldered to the board so I had to de-solder that first then add a 40 pin socket. Only took an extra 15 minutes or so, but keep that in mind when ordering. Machine booted right up and works as advertised.

Also the addition of this board requires you to add some height between the CPU and sound board. After that, it will no longer slide into the metal cage inside the machine. I used Amazon: "Nylon Hex Spacer Standoffs" and built a wood box for this to slide into as a replacement.
