Guzzler Compatibility & Requirements
Installation: Plug-in installation when the original Z80 is already socketed. If the Z80 is soldered directly to the PCB, a qualified arcade technician must install a compatible 40-pin socket before the kit can be used.

Standard vs. Wi-Fi Kit
Standard Kit
Saves supported scores and settings locally on the installed arcade PCB. No internet connection is required for gameplay, Free Play, Fast Boot, Stealth Mode, ROM Saver operation, or local score saving.
Wi-Fi Enabled Kit
Includes the same local score-saving features and can also submit qualifying scores to the HighScoreSaves online leaderboard.
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting Guzzler gameplay, Free Play, local score saving, score tables, ROM Saver operation, Fast Boot, Stealth Mode, or on-screen settings.
Guzzler Kit FAQ
How do I enter the Guzzler settings menu?
Hold Player 1 Start for approximately four seconds while turning on the cabinet, then follow the on-screen settings menu. The video above shows the available settings and controls.
How many high scores does the Guzzler kit save?
The kit saves the Top 5 supported high scores with player initials using serial EEPROM storage.
Does installation require soldering?
No soldering is required when the original Z80 is already installed in a compatible 40-pin socket. If the processor is soldered directly to the PCB, a compatible socket must be installed first.
What is Fast Boot?
Fast Boot provides quick self-test and startup functionality through the supported menu system or DIP OFF mode.
What is Stealth Mode?
Stealth Mode provides a more stock-looking game presentation for collectors who prefer an original-style appearance.
What does ROM Saver do?
ROM Saver supports optional removal of designated original program ROMs. Refer to the Guzzler installation guide for the correct ROM locations and installation procedure.
Will the Wi-Fi kit still save scores if Wi-Fi is disabled?
Yes. Local score saving and normal gameplay continue to work when Wi-Fi is disabled or unavailable.

Rare game happy to find kit
One of my favorite games from Starcade! Kit was easy to install and works perfectly. Love the online scoreboard!
