Upgrade documented compatible original Bally Midway Gorf arcade hardware with Free Play, permanent Top 5 score saving with initials, adjustable attract sounds, menu-driven settings, Hard Romset mode, improved self-test features, ROM Saver support, and optional Wi-Fi leaderboard submission.
The HighScoreSaves daughterboard keeps the original Bally Midway Gorf hardware in service rather than replacing the arcade PCB with an emulation platform, reproduction board, or generic multicade system.

Gorf Z80 Daughterboard Installation
The HighScoreSaves Gorf kit installs through the documented Z80 processor location on compatible original Bally Midway hardware.
Verify documented compatible original Bally Midway Gorf hardware before removing the processor or original board modules.
Confirm that the Z80 processor is installed in a compatible 40-pin socket.
Follow the current Gorf installation guide for Z80 removal, processor transfer, daughterboard installation, and correct orientation.
Before restoring power, check Pin 1 orientation, processor alignment, socket condition, board seating, and every processor pin.
What If the Z80 Is Soldered to the PCB?
If the original Z80 is soldered directly to the board, a qualified arcade technician must properly remove it and install a compatible 40-pin socket before the HighScoreSaves daughterboard can be installed.
Gorf ROM Saver Installation
Gorf's ROM Saver installation differs from many other HighScoreSaves kits because of the original multi-board hardware configuration.
Remove: Program/ROM/RAM board
Leave Installed: Both graphic RAM boards
Follow the current Gorf installation guide exactly and do not remove additional boards based only on their appearance or physical location.
Standard and Wi-Fi Enabled Kits
Wi-Fi can be disabled without affecting Gorf gameplay, Free Play, local score saving, score tables, ROM Saver operation, language selection, Hard Romset mode, or menu-driven settings.

Perfect upgrade
The installation was straightforward, and the instructions made the process simple from start to finish. The free play and high score save features have made the game much more enjoyable to own and play. Must have kit
