  • If the Processor Is Soldered: A qualified arcade technician must install a compatible 40-pin socket before the kit can be used
  • Installation Process: The original processor is removed from the arcade PCB, installed on the Remix daughterboard, and the assembled daughterboard is inserted into the vacated processor socket
  • Installation Guide: Download the Donkey Kong Jr. Remix Installation Guide PDF

Installation Overview

  1. Turn off and unplug the arcade cabinet before accessing the Donkey Kong Jr. arcade PCB.
  2. Confirm that the Z80 or compatible processor is installed in a supported 40-pin socket.
  3. Carefully remove the processor from the original arcade PCB.
  4. Install the processor into the socket on the Remix daughterboard, observing the documented Pin 1 orientation.
  5. Install the assembled daughterboard into the vacated processor socket on the original arcade board.

Donkey Kong Jr Remix

Great addition to any DKJR for free play, high score saves, and the additional games! Don’t forget to check out the Ultimate 3DK kit. I eventually upgraded my DK to the 3DK kit on release day and sold my DKJR & DK3. Worth every penny!
