Darksoft CPS2 Key Writing Adapter Cable (Champion Edition)
The Darksoft CPS2 Key Writing Adapter Cable is required when using a Darksoft CPS2 Multigame Kit – Champion Edition with original, untouched CPS2 ROM sets. This 4-wire harness connects the multigame kit’s J18 header (located next to the microSD slot) to the CPS2 B-board key connector, enabling key-writing functionality supported by Champion Edition firmware.
This cable is intended for arcade collectors and technicians working with original Capcom CPS2 hardware who wish to preserve authentic ROM operation while using a Darksoft multigame solution.

CPS2 B-Board Revisions without CN9 (Solder Required)
Revisions 93646B-3 and 93646B-4 do not include the CN9 connector. For these boards, the key-writing signals must be soldered directly to CN2.

Installation Notes
- Ensure the system is powered off and fully discharged before installation.
- For CN9-equipped boards, connect the cable between J18 and CN9, observing proper pin orientation.
- For CN2-only boards, solder the four wires to the specified CN2 pins and insulate all connections.
- Route the harness carefully to prevent pinching or stress when reassembling the cartridge shell.
