FAQ

Where can I download the install guide?

What board types are supported?

Initially supports the Taito black-and-white monitor style boardset in either a two-board L-shaped configuration or a 3-PCB stack.

Will it work in a cocktail cabinet?

Yes—so long as it’s a black-and-white style cocktail (not the color Taito version). The cabinet’s cocktail/upright behavior depends on sound/input PCB strapping, and screen flip is handled by monitor relays that swap the yoke wires.

How do I switch between games?

Press P1 Start + P2 Start together to open the game selection menu.

How do these versions differ from the originals?

Added features include Free Play, diagnostics, and high score save. Sounds are mapped to the eight sound lines available on the SI/SID boardset. Additional options include laser-base count and bonus-award levels (including none). Some titles include extended scoring beyond the originals.

Do I need to solder anything?

Typically no. If your 8080 CPU is not socketed, you’ll need to add a socket first.
