This Braze Technologies kit installs through the original Intel 8080 processor socket on the Midway two-board L-shaped PCB set. No special cabinet wiring, external switches, or board modifications are required when the processor is already socketed.

Eight Games on Original Midway Space Invaders Hardware

The Braze 8-in-1 kit adds seven additional games to a compatible Midway black-and-white Space Invaders or Space Invaders Deluxe two-board L-shaped PCB set.

Press Player 1 Start and Player 2 Start together to open the on-screen game-selection menu. No external selector switch or additional cabinet wiring is required.

Supported configuration options include laser-base counts, bonus settings, extended scoring on selected games, cabinet orientation, diagnostics, and interactive board and input testing.

Verify the Boardset and 8080 Socket Before Ordering

This Braze kit is specifically for the Midway black-and-white two-board L-shaped Space Invaders and Space Invaders Deluxe boardset. It is not interchangeable with the Braze Taito color version.

Inspect the Intel 8080 processor before installation. If it is soldered directly to the PCB, a qualified arcade technician must remove the processor and install a compatible socket before the kit can be used.

Installation Requirements

Installation Overview

1. Turn off and unplug the cabinet before accessing the Midway Space Invaders two-board PCB set.
2. Locate the Intel 8080 processor and confirm that it is installed in a compatible socket.
3. Carefully remove the original 8080 processor from the arcade PCB.
4. Install the original 8080 into the socket on the Braze daughterboard, observing the correct Pin 1 orientation.
5. Install the assembled daughterboard into the vacated 8080 socket on the original board.
6. Confirm processor and daughterboard orientation before restoring power.
7. Power on the cabinet and verify operation using the installation guide.
8. Press Player 1 Start and Player 2 Start together to open the game menu.
