Customize Your Galaxian Free Play and High Score Save Kit Build your kit exactly how you want it. Choose a Wi-Fi Enabled Kit or a Standard Save Kit. Key Features Easy installation — No soldering, board modifications, or special wiring. Plug in and go. Permanent score saving — Uses a serial EPROM, not failure-prone NVRAM or batteries. High Score Save — Saves the Top 5 scores on screen. Initial entry — You can enter and save your initials. Attract sounds — Hear what you’ve been missing during attract mode. Freeplay — No more coins or opening the coin door; Coin Up still supported. Attract mode screen saver — Minimizes screen burn from static images. Does it support Freeplay and Coin-Up? Yes. You can set the kit to Freeplay or keep Coin-Up mode active. Can I change bullet speed? Yes. You can toggle between Original and FAST bullet speeds in the on-screen menu. How do I access the settings menu? All DIP settings are menu-driven. You can also enable Stealth Mode by holding Player 1 during power-on. Does it support Upright and Cocktail cabinets? Yes. The kit works in both Upright and Cocktail cabinets. Galaxian Multigame Free Play and High Score Save Kit Drop-in multigame kit for original Galaxian-hardware PCBs. Adds a selectable game menu, high-score save, and Free Play with no soldering or special wiring required. Key Features Easy install — no soldering, board mods, or special wiring. Plug in and go. Boot to a specific game — optionally skip straight to your favorite. On-screen Game Menu — choose titles from an in-game selector. High Score Save — stores the Top 5 scores (per game). Free Play — no coins needed (sets 2 coins per game behavior when disabled). Coin Up — coins/tokens still supported. Menu-driven DIP settings — change options without opening the cabinet. ROM Saver — original program ROMs may be removed to reduce power/points of failure. Cabinet support — works in Upright or Cocktail cabinets. An original, working Galaxian-hardware PCB (or compatible) is required. Does it really save scores across power cycles? Yes. The kit stores the Top 5 scores per game in non-volatile memory. Is Free Play supported? Yes. You can enable Free Play from the menu. Coin operation remains available. Do I need to change DIP switches? Set DIP3 = ON, DIP4 = ON, DIP5 = OFF to allow saving and proper operation. Will this work in a cocktail cabinet? Yes. The kit supports both Upright and Cocktail cabinets. What about joystick requirements? Use a 4-way joystick for correct movement on all supported titles. Can I remove my original program ROMs? Yes. The ROM Saver feature allows removing program ROMs to reduce power and socket issues. Do I need extra wiring? Most installs are plug-and-play. Some harnesses may need UP/DOWN wires added for specific games.
