This kit is built for Kicker (also known as Shao-Lin’s Road) on the original PCB. How many scores are saved? The kit saves the Top 5 high scores. It also maintains 16 separate tables based on lives and difficulty settings. Does it support Freeplay and coin operation? Yes. You can enable Freeplay or keep Coin Up active — your choice. Do I need to solder anything? No soldering is required for installation; however, your 6809E CPU must be socketed. If it isn’t, you’ll need to install a 40-pin socket. What is ROM Saver? ROM Saver means the program runs from the kit, allowing you to remove the original program ROMs to reduce power consumption and heat. How do I change DIP settings? All options are menu-driven on screen — no need to open the cabinet or flip physical DIP switches. Are attract sounds adjustable? Yes. You can enable attract sounds (including every attract screen) or turn them off entirely. Will it work in my cabinet? Yes. The kit supports both Upright and Cocktail cabinets.
