Features Easy install: No soldering, board modifications, or special wiring—plug in and go. Save your scores forever: Serial EEPROM (no battery/NVRAM failures). High Score Save: Stores the Top 5 scores. Copyright: Switch to manufacturer or High Score Saves logo in attract mode. Attract sounds: Set to 25%, 50%, or 100% of attract rotations. Freeplay: Enjoy gameplay without coins; Coin Up still supported. Attract mode: Reduce screen burn with dynamic screens. DIP settings in menu: No more pulling the game to flip switches. ROM Saver: Optionally remove original program ROMs to save power. Cab support: Works in Upright or Cocktail cabinets. Additional Features Backup & Restore: Save high scores before/after parties and restore later. Separate score tables: Different tables per lives setting (2, 3, 4, or 5). If not, install a 40-pin socket for the kit to work. This kit requires a standard Z80 — the original CPU on the board cannot be used. Read the Installation Guide (PDF) before setup. Troubleshooting “NO CC7 ROM FOUND OR UNKNOWN DATA” This can appear if the cc7 sound ROM is missing, corrupt, or unknown. The kit performs a checksum on cc7; unknown checksums trigger this message. Power on while holding a start button to open the settings menu. Set Sound to Standard USA and save. The cc7 on the PCB will not be checked, and the message will no longer appear. Just the FAQ's How many scores are saved? This kit saves the Top 5 scores on-screen. Does it support Freeplay and coins? Yes. You can enable Freeplay or keep Coin Up enabled for quarters/tokens. Are there separate score tables? Yes. There are separate tables for each lives setting (2, 3, 4, or 5). What does the Reset Button do? The Reset Button lets you restart the game without powering off the cabinet (enabled in menu, P1+P2). Which processor does this kit require? This kit requires a standard Z80 processor.
