The kit saves the Top 5 scores on-screen. Does it support Freeplay and Coin-Up? Yes. Freeplay can be enabled, or you can leave Coin Up active for tokens/quarters. Which processor does this kit require? This kit requires a Z80 processor. Ensure it’s socketed for installation. Which PCBs are supported? This kit is compatible only with the Falcon PCB. Crazy Kong Remix Multigame — Free Play & High Score Save Kit Crazy Kong Remix is the new Crazy Kong take on Donkey Kong Remix. Crazy Kong 2023 Revision updates Crazy Kong Part II with visual fixes, restored animations, and hammer music—keeping original gameplay quirks (floor skip, hammer drop, etc.). Big Kong and Crazy Kong Alternate Levels add fresh, harder stage variations—now playable on your Crazy Kong PCB. Key Features Switch between games via the on-screen Game Select menu. Per-game high score saving—each title keeps its own table. Free-Play option. Per-game settings and any title can be set as default. Original PCB ROMs remain playable with the kit installed. 10 unique stages + 3 bonus stages (with progressive variations). Blue hammer jumping, new Rivets mechanics (collapsing floors, crush fireballs), reversible elevators on Rivets 3, all six elevators restored. New, challenging kill screen. Remove the Z80, place it into the kit, then insert the kit into the Z80 CPU socket. Compatible with most Crazy Kong PCBs (Falcon, Alca, Jeutel, Orca, and Falcon-hardware clones). Not compatible with variants running on Scramble, Galaxian, or other non-Falcon hardware. Boards with unusual palettes (e.g., green barrel-screen girders) will still display their inherent color differences. If your Z80 is soldered, you must install a 40-pin socket first. FAQ Which PCBs are supported? Most Crazy Kong boards built on Falcon-style hardware (Falcon, Alca, Jeutel, Orca, and compatible clones). Variants on Scramble/Galaxian/other hardware aren’t supported. How do I switch between games? Use the on-screen Game Select menu. You can also choose any title as the default boot game in the kit’s settings. Does the kit save high scores for each game? Yes. High scores are stored per game, so each title keeps its own table. Is Free-Play supported? Yes. Enable Free-Play in the menu. Coin play remains supported if you prefer. Can I still run my original PCB ROMs? Yes. Your original ROMs remain playable even with the multigame kit installed. Do I need a socketed Z80 CPU? Yes. The kit plugs into the Z80 socket. If your Z80 is soldered, desolder it and install a 40-pin socket first. Why do my colors look different from the screenshots? Some Crazy Kong boards use alternate color PROMs or palettes (e.g., green girders). The kit won’t change inherent palette differences on your board. What new gameplay elements are included? Remix adds blue hammer jumping, collapsing floors and crushable fireballs on Rivets, reversible elevators on Rivets 3, restored six-elevator behavior, and a new kill screen.
